WEBSITE DESIGN

Steps to a successful website for your business

The Website Design Process

So you have a great business or a business idea that you want to get off the ground. Getting a professional, cost effective website can be a daunting task. I believe in keeping things simple so I hope by reading these steps you will be a lot clearer on the process of producing your website.

1

Get a Quote

You can use my Instant Estimate form to gauge an idea of cost. Whilst there may be options that you want to add in this will give you a rough indication of the costs. I hope you will find my charges competitive.

2

Website Design Meeting

We can then meet up for a free no-obligation design meeting if you are fairly local to me. I am based between Andover, Hampshire and Salisbury, Wiltshire. During this meeting we can discuss any ideas you have for your website and I can get a good grasp of your business. I can then provide you with a firm quote. If you could bring along any brand guidelines you may have or logo (if you do not have a logo, that's fine I can design one for you).

3

Visual Concept

Once the deposit has been paid, I will then starting working on your website visual concept. This will be a mock-up of how your website could look and will be based on our discussion at the design meeting. I will send you the link for this and you are free to make small changes if desired to complete the final look and feel of the website.

4

Content & Images

At this point I will need the words for each page from you. If you would like to bring a copywriter on board then I have a couple of excellent contacts I can put you in touch with. The words can be provided in a Word document. I will present this information so each page so that it is clear for users and great for search engines.

5

Final Approval & Go Live!

Once all of the pages are built it's time to go through with a beady eye and ensure everything is perfect and you are completely happy. Then its time to go live!

6

Updates & Amendments

Once the site is live, it's a good idea to keep the site fresh with new content. You could have a CMS (Content Management System) which is very easy to work with and will allow you to change any text or images on the website. Or if you would rather, feel free to pass this work to me and I can do this for you on an ad hoc basis.
